Project timeline

The total project duration is three and half years. The project started on 1st of April 2008 and will be closed on 31 September 2011.

Year one (April 2008 to March 2009)
The ENRI-East starts with the series of initial presentation events as well as setting-up and planning activities. Having duly executed the international Grant Agreement between the European Commission and project partners, the coordinating team secures the public visibility of the project (conference presentations, poster, website, etc.)

In short:

  • Setting up the consortium
  • Elaboration of theoretical and methodological frameworks of the study
  • Writing guidelines, terms of reference and elaboration and piloting of survey tools
  • Writing first drafts of project’s background reports
  • Secondary data analysis
  • First training session for the series of surveys
  • Setting of project web site, producing a project leaflet

Year two (April 2009 to March 2010)
Series of quantitative and qualitative surveys constitute the core activities during the second project year

In short:

  • Conduct of series of qualitative and quantitative surveys
  • Quality control, data processing, analysis, unification and technical reporting
  • Enhancement and elaboration of the two background reports
  • Second training session for the reporting and interpretation of the outcomes of the series of qualitative surveys
  • Updates for the web-site, first issue of project’s newsletter
  • First Periodic Report, third interim report

Year three (April 2010 to March 2011)
This period is mainly for writing up cross-national reviews based on the survey outcomes of extended versions of the main project reports.

In short:

  • Finalising of main project deliverables
  • Updates for the web-site, second and third issues of newsletter, producing of project’s poster
  • Series of regional open conferences (workshops) to publicise and discuss main project results
  • Final open international conference to publicise and discuss main project results
  • Second Periodic Report, fourth interim report

Final period (April to September 2011 and beyond)
The aim shall be dedicated mainly to the formal final reporting and closing-up of the project.

In short:

  • Closing up the project, data archiving and transfer to the storage agencies
  • Final updates on the project’s web-site
  • Final reporting to the European Commission (scientific, administrative and financial reports)
  • Planning of post-project activities, development of further project proposals
