East-Ukrainian Foundation for Social Research (Ukraine)

The East Ukrainian Foundation for Social Research was established at the initiative of sociologists, political scientists, lawyers of Kharkiv National University and other scientific institutions. The mission of East Ukrainian Foundation for Social Research is to support socio-technological and socio-engineering research on the base of contemporary achievements in sociology, economics, political science, law and other social sciences.

The main activities of the Foundation include:

  • scientific analysis, diagnostics and prognoses-making of social, economic, ecological, ethnic and other problems of the Eastern Ukraine and modern Ukrainian society as a whole;
  • sociological and socio-cultural expertise of management decisions, political, economic, social programs of regional and municipal management as well as management at the level of a particular firm;
  • training skilled experts who can work as socio-political and economic managers in the society, in regions, at enterprises and institutions;
  • political marketing, consulting, organizational and informational support of election campaigns;
  • analysis of Mass Media’s market and advertising service;
  • studying social mechanisms of development of education, science and culture;
  • analysis of consumer’s attitude towards food and goods market;
  • informational support of financial, economic and investment activity;
  • expertise and correction of social tension level at the enterprises with different forms of property, management consulting.

Prof. Vil Bakirov- President of the East-Ukrainian Foundation for Social Research, Doctor of Sociology, Professor, Head of the Department of Applied Sociology, Kharkiv V.N.Karazin National University, Rector of Kharkiv V.N.Karazin National University. His scientific interests include: sociology of higher education, socio-cultural transformations, social changes. Prof. Bakirov has an extensive experience in research and educational projects management.
